requesting http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/users/xyz/newsubscriptionvideos results a stream of videos for my account, which is of course not set to private, that does not match the new subscription uploads stream on yt.com. Random videos are being filtered out for no apparent reason. I'm aware of the "highlights"-view and it has nothing to do with view count nor is it a user-bound rule.Only pattern I see: This seems to happen only to accounts with lots of uploads. So, in danger of answering my own question right there, can any of you provide valid information on this procedure? Some sort of penalty for power-uploaders, only visible in API calls?
