I am looking to re-design my website not only from a design point of view but also technical. <br /><br />Now as i'm at the planning stage, I would like to get some input from everyone wether or not it's better to have section.mywebsite.com or mywebsite.com/section ? I wouldn't recommend splitting your site into a hundred sub-domains or directories. Instead use a .htaccess file to get your pretty URLs.<!--content-->
Directories are comparatively better than subdomains.<br />Some search engines still categorize subdomains as separate sites.<!--content-->
