Upload all files in BINARY mode.
Run validator.php before editing files to verify release.
Use online verifier of validator.php file and you will see NFO file.
Remove both files from server after checking and enjoy.
Remember, we include validator.php and checksums.md5 in our releases.
If you don't see these files, don't trust.
Do not modify validator.php.

 **** KeyGen ****

Before installation or updating vBulletin you must:

1) Check the release with validator.php to make sure, that it does not
   contain any changed files or just use our release without keygen.
2) CHMOD all files 0777 to  write the new data in them.
3) Execute keygen.php
4) Remove keygen.php from server after genering and enjoy.

Awesome...But hey can you plz tell me:
I already have vB 3.8.1 (Some Arabic scripts) it works fine but i trust DGT & GYSN more so...Can i install this one over the Arabic one (vb 3.8.1) ?

And will i lose anything?
Because i dont want to lose anything :(

All files to chmod 777,keygen work 100%

perhaps a silly question but why does it need a keygen if there is a version without a keygen.
whats the difference between the 2 versions?

A keygen version inserts a fake licence number in to all files which gives you a little extra protection if you have nosey hosts, if they where to go snooping you files and see a licence number they are more likely to let it pass where as if you don't they will surely ask you to verify the legitimacy of the software.

If the keygen.php non-encrypted
In line 84 :
change the tag <? This tag <?php

I downloaded from here the keygen versionvb 3.8.1. everything working fine, but the validating process showing some files FAIL and some NOT OUR'S (these are the prodicts imported) whats disturbing is files with the message FAIL. Anyone can comment, what could be the problem? thanks!

Problem is resolved! I was not transferred files to server in binary mode. Now checking, everything is OK. Thanks a lot!!

That's a common isue try to keygening this on your local server save your license information remove keygen then upload all files on your hosting i have tried that method and it's work fine.
