If you delete the vbseo part of .htaccess, everything breaks unless you redirect it back to the "standard" url. It can be a horrendous undertaking if you are not running a "stock" install and sucks if you are ... very bad for the SEO it claims to be "expertly" engineering... its a hack at best that does nothing good for SEO, at least not out of the box.
I just removed it from a few sites and its a FREAKING FARCE to get the default state back after they royally f*ck it up...
BTW, search engines and Google in particular don't care about "user friendly" URL rewrites, people do, maybe!
