Register your domain for 100 years?

Just got a newsletter from a webhosting company. Usually I dont read those, but this time my eye went over it, and noticed the word Google. They claimed that Google is ranking sites higher that are registered for longer terms.They said this:How to be found in Google (new rules)COMBELL recenly found out Google has started using this patent. Google is continuously working on the improvement of its search results in order to obtain a higher ranking for the most relevant and correct websites.
