The recent visits of President Parvaiz Musharaf to the neighboring countries of Iran have been widely discussed among the Political scientists of the world.<br />

In my opinion, these visits are of vital importance because of their timing. When Americans have set their hearts to topple the Iranian Government or oust hardliner Muhammad Ahmedinjad.But this seems not to be like a cheery picking for Americans, because they are already bogged down in Iraq as well as in Afghanistan. Their recent adventure in Iran would not be as simple as it seems to be, because Iran has all the capability to reply the American Pre-emptive strikes. Thus the conclusion would be another Vietnam or Iraq and the turmoil will engulf the whole Middle East.<br />

Pakistan understands the situation, and because of that its stand has been in favor of Iran since the very first day. It has made it clear that any pre-emptive strike will have its bad omen not only on Middle East, but on Pakistan also. Therefore, before taking any hasty step the USA must give space to diplomatic talks. And for that Pakistan has always offered its services for diplomatic solution to the problem. <br />

Pakistan is not only an active member of OIC, but it is also a NON-NATO Ally of America. Therefore the recent visits of Pakistani President to the major Arab Countries are about the deplorable situation in the Middle East. Pakistan can play its role to abridge the gap between the Washington and Tehran and put pressure on other Arab countries to come forward in these dire consequences. Because Pakistan don鎶
