Hi,
I have a new vps and the host setup everything including site migration.
But a few questions.
Host used my custom nameservers and same ips from old host?
Host supplied only 1 ip
sites migrated show a different ip?
I don't understand.
All sites are also on old server for now, until i'm sure setup is correct. Even I don't understand
your question.
Sorry, i'm confused.
I purchased a new VPS
The New host setup everything including site migration.
BUT, cause i used my own custom nameservers shouldn't the ips change? Otherwise when i cancel my old hosting my sites will go down.
I'll explain rest after this question.
thx Change Ip for ur nameservers from your domain management panel Now, I understood.
Yes, your nameserver IPs will be changed and you need to edit it with your domain registrar again. Well, he only gave 1 IP address for my VPS? ns1.yoursite.com
ns2.yoursite.com
Can be on same ip address then add only 1 IP to both the nameservers aka ns1 = ns2 = same ip Okay, I understand now i guess, so the ip given was for my server, use that as nameserver ips, right?
Next ? was this.
When i look at my new site setups in WHM the IP showing is not the same as my server IP given? Is that normal?
thx guys
