I was recently contacted by an attorney who represents a multi-billion $ financial firm and they want to me cease and desist using my domain name, for it has 'letters' in the domain name that they feel will confuse their clients. They say the have trademark on their company name.
I am incorporated and have used my registered domain for over 10 years now. Why they are approaching me now is baffling.
Instead of fighting this large firm over the domain(which would cost me thousands of $), I suggested to their attorney that they talk to their client and come up with an offer to buy my domain.
Question: How can I determine a 'true value' of my domain to sell to this firm?
Do i have any leverage in determining a price? Dont know if Internic.com or GoDadyy.com Appraisal service if the way to get a true value.
