I have never had a server before and i am in need of one now.

i have no clue how to run a server so i think i need a managed server.

i need Cpanel with at least 1500Gb bandwidth a month and Linux.

i am looking to pay around $100/month

if anyone can help please PM me.cPanel is usually 25 USD/mo.
Than 75 USD for a 1500 GB managed server is just impossible unless its a Celeron 1.3 or lower.try hosting-unlimited.net i have used them in the past and are quite reasonable craigI don't know of any true managed servers for that price range but you could try serverbeach they seem to have some good prices for the unmanaged stuff.https://interserver.net/main.php 1000 GB bandwidth. It would help us better direct you, if we knew what kind of server you were looking for. If you're looking for a low-end Celeron, that price range is not totally unreasonable. If you're looking for a Dual Xeon...it isn't going to happen. :)

--TinaI can vouch that Tina, from www.axishost.com is a good provider for fully managed servers.

But she's right.. if you want a FAST server for that price (that is trully fully managed), then you're dreaming. But if you will accept an older server, then she might be able to get you something. PM me if you'd like more info about our experience with axishost.com.

:)100 dollers per month for a fully managed server. You'll be lucky. Double your budget and you may get something decent.Yeah, 100/month is not enough. You can get a pretty decent box from Gnax starting at about $125/mo (without a control panel).Check out this: http://www.dinix.com/hosting/dedicated100.htmYou can get free cpanel or plesk licences. That is a bad budget for a managed server. Managed servers are usually anything from $160 to $1000 and above!I would suggest learning little things and then purchasing one. Contact me on MSN if you would like to learn some stuff :)MSN: josh[at]flaming-host.comKeep in mind that even if you do find a "managed" server at that price, it's unlikely that the management will be very good. I mean, factoring in the cost of the server, bandwidth, power, and data center space, there's very little money left for management. For example, even if there's $20 left over, how much time is any reasonable company going to spend managing your server for $20? Even if they have techs that work for $10/hour (and how good could those techs be), that's only two hours, and after that there would be no profit margin left on the server.Let us know if you do find a good host for that price though! If the company is good at doing server management, its not hugely time consuming. Two hours a month to manage a server, if done properly, is more than enough time. If an admin is doing his job well, he's working towards a goal of NOT having to spend alot of time fixing things.

Speaking as a client of the "good ol' Dinix" from years past, I wouldn't recommend Dinix. The whole sale to WebHostPlus ruined the services for me and tarnished Dinix's name for most people. It doesn't seem to be that stable anymore. The page you linked to says 2000 GB bandwidth at the top and then unmetered bandwidth at the bottom. Ha!I'm not sure you can find a managed server @ $100/monthCheers,BeruskaThe cPanel and fully managed requirements are going to force you to expand your budget a bit. However, semi-managed may be a possibility.
