I try to log into my test forum, it takes me to the 'Thankyou for logging in mmmxiv' then it takes me to the index, and the login box shows, and I'm not logged in.

Have I ifinally broke the testing forum through all my modifications??

I think I broke the HTTP Cookies and Header options (my testboard is on a subdomain, so I wasn't sure what to do).

Is there any way I can get back to my ACP, or am I reinstalling vbulletin?

=D

Just put the url of your forum where it says yout forum url here and you will get the login for the admincp

http://"Your Forums url here"/admincp/index.php

or change the theme your trying to login with and see if that allows you to enter the forum. If so then you know it is somewhere in the theme it self.

Do you mean through the FTP, edit the config.php there?

Edit the config.php through cPanel's file manager. Right-click on the config.php file and choose edit just as you would in Windows Explorer.

If you use vBSEO make sure you have correctly edited the .htaccess file,

Try uploading tools.php found in the "do not upload" folder to admincp/ folder browse to it and reset cookies, remember to delete afterwards.

I don't have vBSEO

I'll do the tools.php thing though, Thanks Hoxxy.

Update: Tools.php worked, Hoxxy you're a legend.

Can someone run me through correctly setting the "Cookie and HTTP Header Options" for a subdomain?

ie, its at test.mysite.com

You should be able to get to your site via ys.com/xxx and xxx.ys.com

so really all you need to worry about is this setting (I think).
Path to Save Cookies
use /xxx/ option not / for sub domain

If you can only get to it via xxx.ys.com then also change...
Cookie Domain to:
.ys.com
