Hi everyone,
I am looking for ideas to "spark" off my brain in generating some catchy domain names. I wonder how do you guys and gals come out with all those great names? Is there any "secret" tools that you use?

How and where could I follow or catch-up with current hot trend in domain names?

Usually it's a matter of finding a name you like which isn't already taken. That forces you to be somewhat creative.
style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> What a really good idea, i'm going to try that...unless you have brought all the good target="_blank">Bust A Name is a great web site for finding available domain names using your chosen keywords.
Its how I used to come up with names for fictional companies and products when I did me graphics degree

But I'll give credit to my friend who used to do it for fun in high school, thats where I got the idea from.
I just launched a new photoshop tutorial website. I needed a catchy domain for it, and I ended up with learntophotoshop.

To start with, I knew the website would be about:

- Photoshop
- Learning

So I shotrened the word "learning" to "learn", and added "to", and I came up with the domain, Me thinks its quite catchy lol
Then translate it into any language and then back into English, you won't get back what you typed in by sometimes you will get something really fun and catchy.

I had loads of fun doing that style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
When choosing a domain you should think about the searches that your potential visitors might make...

keywords built into the name are important (or I assume they are because they are highlighted style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> .
godaddy and namecheap have a suggestion option.

and a cool way to look for domains is this site pcnames.com
