How To Install Skins

Guys I have downloaded many themes from here but i don't know how to install these themes...please guide me step by step...

Installing styles/skins

Step 1 - Install XML file:

1. Log in to your Admin CP
(ex.. http://www.domainname.com/forumdir/admincp )
2. Once logged in expand "Styles & Templates" then click "Download / Upload Styles"
3. Under "Import Style XML File" Browse to the location where you downloaded the XML Files on your computer.
4. For "Merge Into Style" make sure it says (Create New Style)
5. Give this theme a Title as it will appear for the skin.


Step 2 - Upload Images (via FTP or cpanel direct):

1. Select "binary" as the given mode of upload.
2. Browse to your vBulletin folder and upload the images folder.
3. Open the correct folder and make sure there is a folder with the name of your style/skin

Theme should now be installed and ready to use. You should also be able to view the skin in the Style Selector
normally placed at the bottom of the page.


Setting Theme as Default:

1. Log in to your Admin CP
2. Once logged in click on "vBulletin Options"
3. Now locate the "Style & Language Settings" section and select it, then click Edit Settings
4. Under Default Style select your new style name, and click Save

Thats it your done!

i forgot to mention 2 things:
1) im just another admin, its my friends site, so i don't have 100% control of it
2) i have no clue what FTP or cpanel is... can someone explain in words i could understand? im pretty new to vB

FTP = server where the skins.vbulletin reside meaining the computer that is used to host your site.

cpanel = admin control panel this is where you do all the setting for the forum.

I have already downloaded the XML style and the images, but my style do not show in my vBulletin options > Styles and Language settings.

Why?

Problem in Step 2:

In my ftp the name of the default style folder is images and my new style folder is already name with the images as shown in fig below

but i make new folder with my new style name and upload images in that folder The root is public_html/vision but i got this Error ...

Put the style's images in vB's image folder, don't replace it. so it will be /forumroot/images/vision/
