How do I make money with my website?

I just asked a question about starting a website. thanks for all the great answers they are really helpful. How would I make money? I thought with ads but how does it work.<br />

Basically you can sign up with someone like google for ads. They provide the ads and then depending on what program you prefer you would make money based on the terms. Some of their ads will make you money based on how many people click on the ads while others are based on how many visitors etc. But you should definately start by looking up google ads

The easiest way to get people to your website, is by being able to have the right words, so you get ranked at the top, in search engine listings, when people use keywords.
