I was wondering those of you who were once newbies and didnt know how the hell to get to the top of google or any other se, where did you finally succeed? a certain book? trial and error? a friend show you? To be honest i'm overwhelmed with all the seo articles, books, sites, etc. there is so much info and much of it contradicts, one guy says do this another says never do that, tons of speculation. So i'm just asking for alittle point in the right direction or hint.
