Domains for Sale - Rules and Guidelines

In listing an auction, please use a proper descriptive thread title. Example: you're selling STFU.com, your thread title should be "4 Character Domain - STFU.com", no hype and propaganda. The domain name is not necessary in the thread title if you titled the thread correctly.

When you create a new thread, you'll notice we've created a "stencil" for you to base your domain sale on, use the parts needed and delete the parts that don't apply.

Domain Sale Rules

- Fixed Price / Buy-It-Now If a domain for sale is posted with a fixed price, the terms of the offer will be assumed valid for seven days following the sellers most recent post in the thread, unless specified otherwise by the seller.

- Include in your Sales/Auction thread information about where the domain is registered, and the domain expiration date.

- If you expect the buyer to cover your PayPal transaction fee's, then state this in your initial post, it cannot be added at the conclusion of the sale.

- NO hidden fees of any type, transfers, etc. Please make it clear if any special conditions or charges are necessary due to registrar policies.

- In the event that you are posting domains that require immediate renewal (30 days or less), please state this at the time you create your thread so potential buyers can be aware of the additional fee's.

Important - Domain Auction Rules

- be sure to spell the domain correctly

- fill in ALL fields of our stencil unless they don't apply, ie; expiration, registrar, etc.

- All auctions must include a clear end date and time to be considered an auction, it will not be considered an auction if you fail to provide an end time and date.

Your end time and date should be posted like so: "Auction Ends: Monday, July 2nd at 2:30pm EST.". (note the timezone) This way there's no question as to the end time.

You may also choose to post an end time and date that corresponds to the time of your initial post. For example: "Auction ends exactly 48 hours after the time on this post.".

- Once you place your auction, you may reserve the right to end or modify your auction until a bid is placed. Once you receive a bid, you are obligated to follow through with the auction and sale.

Violation of these rules will result in the termination of your auction(s), and a possible suspension from the marketplace forums.

- All bids must be placed in the auction thread. Do not post that you have received an offer via PM. If you do get an offer via PM, simply refer the member to the rules, or have them contact a member of the admin/staff.

These rules are in place to protect everyone here at WebTalkForums and will help to ensure that our marketplace stays clean and remains a viable place to do business.
