Hey there everyone,

After contemplating it for some time I think I've made up my mind and am ready to learn some boxing. I've watched a few videos giving beginner tips, but I'm not sure if their quite reputable; as form and technique essential to success, I want a few other opinions.

Firstly, I've heard Mexican-style handwrap's are preferred over 'slip-on' gloves. Opinions? Is 180" a good size for a medium-large size hand? Is this http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=1e9VUq3jK7I a good way to cover and protect your hands, or are there better methods?

Secondly, what sort of equipment should I buy? I don't yet have any intention to go professional with boxing, but boy would I like to get some knowledge of it as a hobby/sport.

And finally, could anyone recommend any sites that give expert advice for beginners? Correct form, good equipment reviews, etc?

Thanks for any and all advice. Sources are appreciated; ten points to the most clear answers and those that go over the top!
