Who do I choose for Managed Hosting now that the company I was planning of going ahead with has sold out all it servers.

Who's second best to ServerMatrix/The Planet?

Any Recommendations?

I need Win2003 Server and 500 GB of space and about 2000 GB DataTransfer per Month. (Just like what Server matrix used to offer).Hello,

You may wish to check out the dedicated provider in my signature The New York NOC. They currently provide me with a partially managed Windows server and have been great for the past 6 months I have been with them. I wrote a review a little while ago that you can look up if you wish. In any case, try contacting their sales department and see what they can offer you.i would choose a company that has multiple ways of contacting them for support. If a company only offers one or two ways, then chances are there support is limited.i would choose a company that has multiple ways of contacting them for support. 100% dissagree, if a company has one way of contact for support it means nothing. It just means that is the system that they use.

Try liquidweb.com for managed servers. Or you could always purchase a dedicated server and hire an outsourced management company as wellI need Win2003 Server and 500 GB of space and about 2000 GB DataTransfer per Month. (Just like what Server matrix used to offer).

I think you're talking about ThePlanet.
Server Matrix is unmanaged. They offer only 1200GB per month.
How much is your budget?I would choose a place that could help me out any time, in many ways.100% dissagree, if a company has one way of contact for support it means nothing. It just means that is the system that they use.

I would have to agree. Just because a company only offers 1 or 2 ways of reaching support, as long as its 24 hours, you should be fine.

In regards to management on a server, just go with a provider that offers managed servers. You can find em out there, Server Matrix wasn't the only one. What is your budget? I know some SM/ThePlanet resellers.. it looks like they have some servers availible, just not accepting new customers..I highly recommend softlayer.com (http://www.softlayer.com)I highly recommend softlayer.com (http://www.softlayer.com)

When I saw 2000gb that was the first company that came to mind to recommend along with a management company.I just got my opteron 170 from softlayer.com this week.I believe they are unmanaged, however, they gave very good support. Most of my support ticket is answered within 30 mins.i like layeredtechSoftlayer seems to be getting popular quick :)Yes Indeed.. BTW, ThePlanet has upgradded b/w for all customers... see http://forums.theplanet.com/viewtopic.p ... tart=0What is your budget? You can easily find what you are looking for. When TP/SM/I365 is your first choice and they are not accepting new clients then the next best thing is to find companies using them and are resellers as they are still supplying new systems to existing clients. ;)Indeed. Also, look forward to more servers coming availible as they just acquired another building/datacenter right next to DC2.
