Hi Guys,

Happy new year to all!

I have a problem with a car servicing site I have done for a client recently, which you can see here.

It used to be target="_blank">actual domain name.

Has anyone got any ideas what I can do to remedy this?

Thanks in advance.

Karlos
Did you change anything>

Did you change anything>

Sounds like the changes you made have effected rankings. Leeds is target="_blank">this domain name.

Now I am even more confused as I am totally unaware of this web domain name!
Well the>

Well the>

The original site will not get penalised, the duplicated site may get filtered from results. The issue is which site search engines sees as the original.

I havent looked into this in great detail, but a search for the paragraph:

" Established in 2001 with factory trained technicians with over 50 years combined servicing and repair experience we are able to offer customers an alternative to main dealer service costs.

With all the very latest BMW diagnostic and special tools you can be sure your car is in safe hands."

does not rank either sites, i suggest you may have indexing problems because of this other domain.

yes my thoughts exactly. this other domain must be an issue in this, as it was doing really well with the key words I had in place and now nothing, although this google search produces a 1st place result in google uk!!!
Hi Karlos

Happy New Year...you've been very quiet....

Not sure if I can resolve your problem but I have a couple of friends looking at it right now for you....

How far will you go to find out the truth and your Google position?

Thats a great help!

Like I mentioned above the site was doing really well, and it is still listed with google (using the site:domain name string in google it displays the results for all the site pages).

I will go all the way to find out!

Now I've finished TRYING to be funny....

Could there be a problem with you using a brand name?

I'm not really sure whether the ranking takes this into account but perhaps you may be being penalised because you appear to be using a massive brand name to promote an unrelated site (in the sense it is not owned by BM(W) or Mini.)

Just a thought......

(This other site uses the same branded name and does not have a licence of any kind - as far as I am aware).

I am wondering now if ampersands I have used in the web page URL's have some sort of indexing effect?
