Hi evrybody
I bought an unmanaged dedicated for 1 month, willing to learn something.
I would like to use centos remotely, using filezilla or browsing remotely with a normal GUI but, after Installing gnome & vnc on centos 5.7, connecting to it with tightvnc I see this:

I would like to see and use this:

I installed vnc, using this tutorial:
http://www.wjunction.com/48-technic...ling-remote-desktop-linux-vps-centos-5-a.html

Modified everything as it is on the tutorial.

Can somebody help me solve this problem? you missed this step:

from looking at that file alone, it says your resolution is 80x24. Set it to 1024x768.

Either way, i would suggest following the tutorial i linked to, or at the very least, google "centos 5 vnc" and finding which one is easiest for you. You can even google "centos 5 vnc install script" if you prefer. you like eye candy desktop?

anyways, it will be a lot lighter if you use lightweight desktop rather than gnome or KDE I like a friendly user interface desktop, don't kare if it's gnome, kde or other.
I just need some help to install it.
Tried every tutorial/script that I found, couldn't install vnc.
Is there somebody that can help me? for real. PM me i will help out install nomachine and Genome on your VPS. It supports Clipboard sharing and performs good
