Here is, as promised, one of the staffing companies contained on my list that are hiring "virtual contractors". Check it out for yourself.

Several of the companies require that you have a virtual phone and fax, so your home phone is not tied up (especially if you're on Dial-up). It allows calls thru your computer, allows you to screen calls before answering and it also rings in to your home or cell phone when you are away from home or on another call. This is the recommended company. They are the best and the cheapest. First 30 days free - then $7.95 a month for a phone AND fax number.

If you need to freshen up your office skills, this website offers Free testing and on some of the software like Microsoft Word, you can test for Free to get your Expert Rating certification. Two of the "legitimate" companies I contract with prefer certification. They do not require it but those w/certifications get better pay and usually first placement. Some of the staffing companies also require certification as a "virtual" admin/contractor. A few of them offer that certification through their agency.

One final thought. It makes me sad that we live in such a world that makes us automatically believe that everyone who crosses our path or offers a service, is "scamming" us.

I charge a fee of $25 for the list because I've spent 5 years and $1500 finding my way through the scams to finally find legitimate virtual work from home. Time and money I'm saving you.
The company I've listed is a very good and reputable company. It is not in my personal TOP 3 but they are good none the less and I have done work for them. I remain in their database for current and future projects. You will find as a virtual contractor, that most of the time, you need to contract with more than one agency to obtain FT work.

Good luck to all of you and I wish you all the best! As you will find out if you visit the website, I wasn't "scamming" you. I truly was trying to help. Trying to save you all the frustration and money I went through to find these companies.
