What components must be installed on a Unix server to support a web site with Frontpage HTML, a CGI guestbook application, video presentations, email contact form, shopping card and credit card transactions?<br />
<br />
So far, I'm thinking Frontpage extensions; cgi, cgi-bin; sendmail; real player; Informix (cc transaction);<br />
<br />
Not sure on the shopping cart. Anything missing??<br />

Well, frontpage is a microsoft thing, so I doubt you'll find alot of frontpage support for *nix systems. If you just output the frontpage site as a .html document, it should work without issue though.

Apache HTTP Server along with PHP and Mysql probably will do the bulk of what you need. Stuff like videos are handled by the the viewers computer. So unless you want to make the videos directly on the server, you should just be able to upload them and not worry about that. No need to install any type of media player.

Also, don't forget to include nameserver support and a ftp server. NS will help link the domain to your server, and ftp is used to upload files to the server.
