Secure Managed Solution

Hi there,

I'm currently looking for a secure FTP server. My main concerns for the provider is that they proactively manage the server to ensure security, and that backups are consistently made.

I'm mainly looking for 10-20gb of storage.

Any recommendations?Look at some of the smaller companies that specialize in business hosting - they are more likely to have the infrastructure and policies to provide what you're after.

Regards,How much are you ready to pay for this service?I do not know what your budget is, but your requirements are certainly within reason. Any reputable host will provde what you are looking for. Use the offers section and hostquote feature to create a short list for yourself.

Have you seen Amazon's S3 service? You are aware that FTP is inherently insecure? The username and password is sent over the Internet without being encrypted.FTP is yes, but I think he's looking for something like BQBackup (http://bqbackup.com) or StrongSpace (http://strongspace.com)...which utilizes SFTP only.A small managed hosting company can provide this for you easily. Either via sftp (ftp over ssh) or a FTP Server with TLS support. We have worked with ProFTPd ftp server with TLS.
