How to install keygen.php! HELP!

Guys I need your help!

I am trying to install keygen.php but to no avail! Some people on this forum suggested that I type in my browser www.mysite.com/forum/keygen.php but whenever I do so all I get is the typical WEBPAGE NOT FOUND 404 error. Please tell me what have a done wrong?

I think you just confirmed my suspicion. I suspect that I should of uploaded my vBulletin files inside /public_html' root (and not outside like I did before). I am going to test it and see if it works. Let me know if you think I am right.

Uploading to /public_html is correct, also make sure you CHMOD all files to 777

I have a question should I CHMOD keygen.php to 777 or like some people say to 644 ?

Yes you are right! I just sign up for one year with bluehost YESTERDAY.

Thank you SO MUCH TO EVERYONE! IT WORKED. My problem was that I supposed to upload my vBulletin files inside /public_html' root! It works just fine right now!

Welcome , buddd !! ..

sure test it , well the file u are uploading is "keygen.php" needed to be un public HTML cause u need to access it from WAN .
like in without ur FTP shyt or bypassing any other authentication like in general .. u accessing a normal html file or kinda accessing a website.

it will only work , if the correct path is given ...:) !
and uploaded onto that specific path , Sighs !
