how to choose domain register?

Or, which domain register do you think is the best?

I'm consider registering a domain. I'm very new for this, there are so many domain registers out there, can someone tell me how to choose? Is the location have something to do with it, for example, I'm in China? What make difference between a cheaper domain and a relative expensive domain?
I'm interesting in a .net, .info or .com. And I notice that there is a .ws, have anyone of you used the .ws domain?

I didnt use.ws any more ,i think .com is better,if you want to register a domain u must choose a domain name are must related the content of the website,the price is not expensive.
