Hi ervyone,<br />I have recently registered a domain thru yahoo. The next question is how soon would I be able to activate a transfer for the said domain to other registrar and diferent owner? I read somewhere that for newly registered domain, it need to be staying with current registrar for at least 60days before any transfer is allowed, is this true??<br /><br />Thanks for your guide.<!--content-->
GoDaddy requires 60 days and then they make it difficult to carry through with the transfer.<br /><br />What does Yahoo's Terms of Service say about this? I can't find the information in a brief search, but it should be readily available to you since you purchased through them.<!--content-->
Hi,<br />Yahoo domain service seems like a mystery to me although their promotional price is catchy! That's the reason I am searching for some information.<br /><br />I just couldn't get the information I am searching for in their FAQ. And the worst part is...their support for enquiry is truly no match to godaddy! Godaddy has not failed in answering my queries so far! They have been consistently replying to my email within 24hours!<br /><br />It's just that their price is no match to yahoo domain. I searched quite extensively the other day before replying and couldn't find anything in their ToS. Have you emailed them?<br /><br />Perhaps you could try to initiate a transfer and see if they block it? At least then they would give you a reason.<br /><!--content-->
Well, I tried namecheap for the transfer, their guides ar available at :-<br />http://www.namecheap.com/learn/transfer-yo...m=homelearnmore<br /><br />Unfortunately, when I wanted to transfer a newly registered domain out from yahoo (enjoying their promo price), it shows :-<br />"mydomain(dot)com cannot be transferred This domain is not yet 60 days old."<br /><br />Guess I got to wait for full 60dyas period before I can made changes.<!--content-->
