Help please really important

i get this erro


Keygen is checking and replacing the files ...

Error: Unable to open and write to:/home/*****/public_html//ajax.php


i was installing

vBulletin.v3.7.4.PHP.NULLIFIED.Incl.Keygen-GYSN.zip

i also tryed the new 3.8.0 candiate version and i still get that erro

anything wrong im doing?

and yes i checked the ajax.php is there

im sorry im confused which folder and what permissions , how can i check it please provide me instructions

I think the confusion may be the // in front of the file name. If the keygen is getting confused by that. The permissions would be on the ajax.php file, try to set it to 666 and see if the error goes away. If it does, make sure to set the permissions back to 644 when it completes.
