Hey people,
My site just got busted for using vBulletin (It was the GSYN Nulled).

I have no idea how my host found out, I barely have any members...
And my site is dead...

This is all they said in the e-mail:

I wonder if using GYSN KeyGen version would make it harder to find out?
It doesn't say vBulletin contacted them, so I think it's just a tip off to the hoster via their forums...

I'm indulging them and removing my forums, and I'm thinking of switching from them anyway.
The moral of the story is, don't pay for vBulletin!
In the UNLIKELY event that you get caught, you get sent a nice letter :)

yeah i see, but you delete the gysn-kg.php file?? or your files didn´t have the right chmod so the keygen doen´t put the license in there,i don´t know how do they busted you

No no, I was using the NULLED version, there was no 'keygen' file.
I asked if I had of used the keygen version, would it be harder to detect?

If I DID (Which I didn't) use the keygen version, I would of deleted the nessicary files, I'm knot dum. :)

Anyone got any suggestions for a hoster than is cheap, good, reliable that ALLOWS warez, etc.?

use IPB or buy a vB licence.. or get a GOOD offshore hosting...

btw someone probably ratted you out or found you on google.. the same thing happen't to me a long time ago..

it´s harder to detect if you use a Keygen version, only jelsoft will know the fake just remember to chmod all files in 777 and well all is done put back in 644, the host will search for the license number and they will think that you´re ok so use that to get your forums back, if you need some help with this installation just pm me, and delete your url in your post it´s a security risk for you, because someone can say that you have a nulled version to jelsoft or pirate reports

Good Luck i suggest the GYSN updated keygen nulled version is the best nulled script for vBulletin 3.6.8

why and how would Inferno Tech report his site?? are you guys rivals??

as for the keygen.. you guys are idiots.. no offence.. vB DOES NOT LOOK AT THE LICENCE #!!!!

they type ur url in their system.. IF! they don't see it.. they shut you down...

IF! they DO see it.. THEN!!! they check the licence #...

so if your using a keygen verison.. your WASTING ur time.. because your url is NOT in their licenced database, so they already know your using a nulled versions... fucking sherlocks! LOL!!

it's not freaking rocket science here guys..

And it was vBulletin, as I apologized to AwardSpace and took it down.
I got another e-mail that said something along the lines of (Can't be bothered finding it):
Thank you for co-operating with us!

We hope that next time you want to use vBulletin you will use it legally instead of an illegal copy.

advice is use a legal vB.. or get a GOOD offshore host... other than that... your chances of using a vB are slim.. there is no 100% full proof way to use a pirated vB.

Make a backup of your database and of all of your files. Now that they think that you're okay they won't check it. But if someone is ratting you, they'll always find you.
Don't change host til they shut you down. After that you may change to an offshore host, buy a legal copy or change script (SMF aint that bad).

yeah you prick, i know already that jelsoft has all the legal sites in their database but if your host won´t note the null if all files has a vb fake license they will think that you´re ok, if jelsoft is behind him theres no chance to use a null script, if you want to run it use a russian host or an private secure host or a warez host, you DON prick we are only trying to help this man

he needs to provide the right advise.. keygen doesn't do shit.. to protect you from vB.. they will still find you no matter what you do. The only way to not get found is if they have your url on file.. then your safe.

the same thing hapned to me but you got an alert so you have time to do a hole backup for your file and database is it a piad hosting !!!

any way you can use many other free hosting with this license (key one)
but if you have a son of dog like the one i get those day he do a whois to my domain.com then he send tos violation to hosting and they suspe"nd my account
after 1 week of this f... i will buy a paid warez hsoting
that why we made the thread your vb hoster ;)
