A quick question does anyone know what length the Memo Structure in Access stores. i have a description field that i want to store a large amount of formated data. what is the best data type to use

frankThe memo field type will store 65,536 characters, while the text type is limited to 255.thanks bear.
well just a follow up. i type info into a text area which saves it to this memo keeping carriage returns. but when i try to redisplay it i take it back convert to a string and i get an error when trying to set it to a label or a span is there some way of keeping the format entered in the text area. i.e carriage returns etx.
