YouTube has decided to block music videos to users in the UK because of a dispute over the cost of licensing.

Thousands of videos have started to disappear from the site after its owner Google failed to reach a new deal with PRS for Music.
The internet giant's existing agreement with the organisation, which issues licences and collects royalties on behalf of copyright holders, has expired.
PRS for Music said it wants a new licence to include payment at "a fair rate" to reflect the increase in music video viewing on YouTube.
Google described the decision as a "painful" one which it knew would cause "significant disappointment".
But it claimed the deal it had been offered would result in it losing money every time a video was played.
In a statement it said: "We value the creativity of musicians and song writers and have worked hard with rights-holders to generate significant online revenue for them and to respect copyright.
"But PRS is now asking us to pay many, many times more for our licence than before.
"The costs are simply prohibitive for us - under PRS's proposed terms we would lose significant amounts of money with every playback."
PRS for Music urged Google to reconsider its decision, which was taken in the middle of negotiations between the two parties.
Chief executive Steve Porter said: "We were shocked and disappointed to receive a call informing us of Google's drastic action which we believe only punishes British consumers and the songwriters whose interests we protect and represent."
Google said it would work to find more ways to compensate musicians and other rights-holders on YouTube.
It recently introduced the option for users of the site to pay to download a song.
