Why Vb Seo ?

Hi , all
I wonder that if I have to use vB Seo for my forum , just to change the links ( url's) from being "php" to be html ; I wonder that when I just visited the site of vBulletin (org&com) the two sites don't use their urls as html !!!

My question is : Why should I use vBseo if those masters of the board itself don't use it ??

Second , I tried vBseo locally and it makes many problems in pictures in the forum ,

I need to have a hand of help thinking deeply of the word : Why ?

Because the masters dont need so much search engine optimization. They are already topranked on google. And also the masters does not want to use any 3rd party applications on their software.

But what if I just need to change urls from php
to html ; not for optimization or having big ranks
But just to hide the numbers of my members ;
so that no one can discover the administrator of the board
and then be in safe from hackers somehow !
Any help ?
If could we do that without vB seo , Tell me please
I tried a hack (mod) called vb ranking
but it just gives me a html link with the same numbers
of the admin and other members as well
Any help ?
I am so tired of thinking
