Where do I report a scam about selling a camper; guy claims to be a soldier in Afghanistan?

If you think it's a scam, you can report it right to craigslist. I don't know what they do about it other than remove the ad.

There is a 99.999% chance this is a scam. You'll never see your "protected" money, nor will you ever see the camper, which likely doesn't exist.

If you actually knew where the guys lives, you can report it to the local police, but these kind of scammers know how to protect their identity and location so that they can't be found.

If you think it's a scam then don't send them any money. Contact craiglist or whatever site it's on and say you think its a scam. You could try calling the police but so far there is no crime unless you sent money.
