When I searched up the Olympics website (http//www.olympic.org/uk/games/index_uk.asp) the 1916 Olympics was not there and so was the 1940 and the 1944 Olympics. Then when I checked wikipedia (http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olympic_games#Olympic_Games_host_cities)
and it said that there was a 1916, 1940 and a 1944 Olympics.
What's up with that?
The 1916 Olympic Games were cancelled because of World War I, and the 1940 and 1944 Olympics were cancelled due to World War II.

These Olympic Games were cancelled due to the World Wars. The first Games held after WWI were in 1920. The first Games after the second World War were held in London in 1948. Wikipedia has its facts screwed up- they are not always accurate.
