What is the vBSEO sitemap URL?

Sitemap rewrites the location of the sitemap files to your forum root, so give them the URL to your forum root.

No, you won't find them there, but the rewrite rules (you did upload the included .htaccess file, right?) will redirect the bots so that they find them there. The files area actually in /vbseo_sitemap/data. If you already have VBSEO installed, you don't need the .htaccess from sitemap archive.
I do have vBSEO installed so I didn't upload the vBSEO Sitemap .htaccess file. Do I need to edit the vBSEO .htaccess file?
So for the Robots.txt file it should also be: sitemap: http://www.MYSITE.com/forum/ ?

You gave them the URL and the filename, right? Google doesn't deal with the url_list.txt.gz - that's for Yahoo and others.
Sorry mate, I don't know what the file name would be, that's why I asked here. All I gave Google was http://www.MYSITE.com/forum/
Could it be as obvious as http://www.MYSITE.com/forum/sitemap.xml ?

sitemap_index.xml.gz and sitemap_1.xml.gz. All you need to give Google is the first one as that will lead them to the second one.
That is actually how the URL is written under the vBSEO Sitemap Reports in Admin CP:
Your Google Sitemap Index URL: http://www.MYSITE.com/forum/sitemap_index.xml.gz
