Whoever bribes the International Olympic Committee the most gets the Olympic games. It is the most corrupt organization on the planet.

Cities bid to host the Olympics. It is basically a two step process. The city must have proper accomodations, security, transportation ect. It gets approved by the IOC (international olympic committee) executive board and they are considered canidates. In the second part, an evaluation committee goes to the city and wirtes a report. The IOC votes on choosing the site for the specified olympics.

This will get you the map

1. I think you just get a picture of a world map, and, by using word, use arrows and textboxes to show each city

2.basically expand on this

1) http//www.mapsofworld.com/world-olympic-map.htm

The selection process has changed over the years ranging from whichever cities were willing to, to whichever cities twisted the organizers arms the hardest, to whichever cities bribed the most officials.

For an overview, check wikipedia for entries on random Olympic Games, many explain how they were selected.

2) http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Olympic_Committee#Bidding_to_host_the_games

As for who hosts the games, feasibility is most important, a tiny Third World country is unlikely to have the resources to build enough venues and infrastructure to host the games. The IOC also looks to spread out Olympics among different countries and continents. Each country is only allowed to submit a single bid, so for example when Chicago bid for the 2016 Olympics, it had to beat out Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, etc. for the endorsement of the USOC. All bidding cities made presentations, and were whittled down to 4, which will make final presentations and ultimately be eliminated one at a time until one city receives a majority of votes.
