Streamlinenet and email problems

I've been with streamlinenet for the past 3 years or so, and when it comes to using my email and Outlook, I've never had any problems, until at the end of November my emails were not downloading, I would just get a message in the bottom right saying recieving 1 of ... mails, until it timed out with a pop server error.

I checked the streamlinenet home page, and it mentioned a problem style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Thanks in advance.
Streamline asked for all email passwords to be changed after a security problem...this can be done from the control panel or the admin panel, the password has to be a new style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Wish it was as simple as that. I need notice they'd asked for changes on FTP and email passwords, and this was all done, and it's not a password issue.
On that front though they had set up my domain incorrectly so I could not access the correct URL to change my passwords until I notified them of their mistake. Unfortunately that wasn't connected to my email woes.
Well it took 6 days, and around 30 emails, after much buck passing and streamlinenet trying to tell me everything was working fine and it must be something I'd done, but finally their senior engineer fixed it! Crikey, don't want to have to go through that customer service fiasco again!!!
