It was necessary to restore my computer to manufacturing specs'. The dsl modem was replaced with the computer working really well for a day..then it would not connect to the server..the modem checked out and I was advised to contact the computer support team.
To make a long story short..after hours of working with the support team and speaking with three different technicians I was advised that the only thing left to do was to restore the computer to manufacturers specs..
Is it possible to load the back up disk that contains photos that I've lost, or will this attempt, or action, create more problems?

No. The Windows backup disks are useless. This has been the case since Windows 95. This is because a certain software OEM that starts with Micro chooses to employ people with limited common sense. Furthermore. they choose not to do any real research development (RD). The world at large is their beta tester.

Your question needs to be prosed directly to Microxxxx.

The good news is that there are programs that fill this void. They can restore your system back onto a clean hard drive as it was when you ran it. The most notable, and the first, is Ghost. The reality is that most people actually learn this the hard way.
