Well, it has been mentioned by .v0id awhile back about changing the style for vBTEAM. I've noticed that the styles used here are all "broken". BlueSip has no logo and the forums are out of alignment as well as the vBSEO style being screwed up. I asked Hoxxy if he'd be willing to help put together a style for us that would be different from any other style out there. I was thinking one light and one dark style.

Also, if any of you have exceptional skills with Photoshop or if you have some cool graphics, smileys, or icons, please share them and maybe we can use them as well.

Let me hear your input and what you'd like to see done with the style. If you feel like you have something to contribute as well, please say so. Any help will be appreciated for graphics etc...

I just feel that with all the new sites trying to copy us, we should do something to stand apart from them and be the best.

So...yeah, that's about it. :)

As mentioned to psilocybin in a pm I'm really not as good as you all think, when I say that I mean im not in the league with the likes of Strife (hybridsoft) or Phantom (crazycoderz.net - RIP) although I did have 50% of CC/inwarez ripped before I had to do a re-install of my test forum...lol

Most of my original created styles are parts of other styles thrown together with my own ideas but im sure we can come up with something :)

also I am cr*p with photoshop so will need real help with that (buttons, icons, gradients) etc etc I do have a friend that I always bug whenever i'm playing with it, "how do you do this" how do you do that"...lol so I will have him to fall back on if really stuck...anyway yeah ideas are what we need right now so start posting them and I will see if I can do what you are asking ;)

Lol, on my home computer I see the BlueSip style but on my work computer it is only the vBSEO style.

So Hoxxy, do we need to find a good style to use as our starting point and then go from there or should we use the vBulletin default style to work off of?

We will need to get a forum installed elsewhere to use as a "testing area" for the skin and decide on what version of vB to use, I would think the latest version would be best. When either Guru or I get FTP info from v0id, the forums here will get upgraded as well, I'm assuming we will be using the latest version of vB.

HBD! Since your out of retirement, maybe you can just rip us a style that no one else has lol. That may be easier than trying to create an original one for now.

Also, it may be some time until we get things going, no one has the FTP info for the server except for v0id, which no one can get a hold of, so we can't upgrade. :(

Thats an idea I suppose for the time being, post some links to styles you would like to see and Ill see what I can do..

First of all it's got to be light. We can't force users to wait longer when loading the site. So I would be more concerned about CSS/xHTML skills rather than photoshop ;)

True, sometimes the site loads slow as it is. I don't think we need too many graphics, just something that looks nice though.

ok so something with light gfx now what about colors...light, dark, plain colorfull, red, blue, green?

Well if you post it (images and xml) or allow me access to styles I will update it and we could simply use that...are we gonna update to 3.7.x?

There are no images in that style... only few ;d

And when my style was set, nobody liked it, so I think we need a new one.

Members did like it, it was just very buggy after the 3.6.10 upgrade..;)

I don't think 3.7 is necessary here. "Nicer" profile pages, whole "web 2.0" thing, photo albums, groups... It'd only generate more bandwidth. I'd stick with 3.6.xx
